Crispy Fried Pickle Chips
Great for prime time on game days, Boar’s Head Pickle Chips are fried to perfection for a crowd-pleasing snack.
Ingredients
1tsp
Garlic Powder½cup
buttermilk¼cup
Boar's Head Jalapeno Pepper Sauce1½lbs
Boar’s Head Horseradish Pickle Chips, drained and dried on paper towels 2in
Canola oil2
All Purpose Flour1cup
Cornmeal1tsp
Black pepperInstructions
- 01Mix together garlic powder, buttermilk, and the jalapeño pepper sauce.
- 02Add the drained pickles and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 03Preheat oil to 350 degrees, using either a deep fryer or a fry thermometer and a large dutch oven.
- 04Whisk together the flour, cornmeal, salt and pepper.
- 05Add marinated pickles to the flour mixture and toss to coat.
- 06Shake off extra flour.
- 07In batches, carefully add the pickles to the oil.
- 08Fry until golden brown, about 4-6 minutes.
- 09Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and sprinkle with salt while hot.
- 10Serve with ranch dressing.
